Do the Worst First

If you wake up every morning and do the most difficult task that you will do the entire day, it will change your life.

You cannot wait for something to change your life. Do not squander the time that you have, attack what you want in life and take what is available to you.

Discipline yourself every day to complete the most difficult task you will do on that day at the very beginning. Do not call your friends; do not open up your Outlook, just complete that task.

Most of the time this task will involve dealing with some person, a boss or a colleague, which would explain why you have so many apprehensions about completing his difficult task, but, just do it.

"Do you love life? Then do not squander time for that is what life is made up of" -- Benjamin Franklin

Inevitably the most difficult tasks that you can do in your life are the tasks that will make you most successful in your life.

Nothing is easy.

Accept that nothing is easy.

Now that we know that nothing is easy, it doesn’t mean everything is hard, it just means that you'll recognize what is hard faster than your peers and you will complete those hard tasks before them.

Nothing can get in your way.

It is not what you complete that defines you, it is the choice to complete it that defines you. Every day that you wake up and do the difficult thing, the most difficult task, you grow and your character becomes as strong as a rock.

Be persistent. Do not doubt yourself, do not stop, continue to push through.

Work single-mindedly on that one task. Do not stop, do not go to the bathroom, do not go get coffee, do not check your e-mail, do not check twitter, do not on Facebook, just work.

When you decide to go to work, then do just that, go to work. If you do not need to be online to complete this difficult task, then unplug.

Do not stop.

You can do this.

Everyday.
