Getting on a schedule that one is comfortable with is extremely difficult in today’s fast paces society.
Everyone has their own idea of what “comfortable” is, so I will just describe what my idea of comfortable is:
Comfortable, when talking about a schedule, is a state where one is satisfied with the accomplishments that can be completed on that schedule, in relation to the current work need. Furthermore, the relative downtime must meet all requirements to keep stress in check.
If a blogger feels that they need to produce five pieces of content and check all of their stats everyday while completing X number of new idea prototypes, then they will need a great deal of time. If their current schedule only allows two hours a day for all of that work, then they would not be “comfortable” with their schedule. They might not know this right away, but it is evident in their stress levels, possibly in their quality of work, and most likely in their sleep. When this happens, one of two things needs to happen. Either a) the amount of work is decreased to meet the time availability of the schedule, or b) the schedule must open up to allow the work to get completed.
For many, finding this balance is incredibly complicated because sacrifices are hard to make. Making priorities and putting new items above older “demands” is a difficult process, and in our fast growing, every consuming life, we have to make this decision often.
Take a second, step back, and look at what is on your plate and see if you are suffering from schedule stress (feels like constant burden), and what you can do to relieve it. If this maintains…one can get burnt out, and no one wants that.
